I had a mixed experience at Hanoi Oldtown Nomad Hostel. The location is fantastic, allowing easy access to the Old Quarter, and the breakfast was decent. However, the dorms were not the most comfortable, and I found some issues regarding cleanliness and noise.

Rooms
6.0
I stayed in different dorms. The 8-bed room had separate showers and toilets, which was nice, but the bathroom setup in some rooms felt cramped. Some doors were really noisy too.
Service
7.0
Staff were very helpful, assisting with all my queries and making my stay smoother.
Location
8.0
The hostel's location is great, being within walking distance to many sights in the Old Quarter.
Dining

Breakfast was included and I found it decent, though I wish they offered more traditional options like banh mi instead of just toast.
Facilities
5.0
The shared bathrooms were clean, but the overall facilities feel a bit outdated. Paying for towels was a bit of a downside.

My stay at Hanoi Oldtown Nomad Hostel had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the old town (which made exploring super easy), but the dorms were a bit messy and cramped. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which really made the experience better.

Rooms

I stayed in a 6-bed mixed dormitory. The beds were decent and near windows, but there was some noise from the bathroom and lockers. Also, I really had to bring my own lock for the lockers, which was a bit inconvenient.

The staff were really good and always ready to help with my queries. They made me feel welcome during my stay.

While the facilities were functional, the lack of a proper lock for the lockers and having to pay for towels were minor inconveniences.

My room was quite small and needed renovation. It was cleaned regularly, but I never felt it was entirely clean. Also, I was in a bed next to the lift, which made for a noisy night.

Breakfast was enjoyable with a buffet style and changing fruit options. It was a nice way to start the day, especially if you arrived early.
Facilities

The amenities could use some improvement. There wasn't an airport shuttle, as advertised, and the shared bathrooms were a bit challenging due to the number of people.

My stay at Hanoi Oldtown Nomad Hostel was a mixed experience. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, especially a young blonde girl who assisted me with my bed arrangement due to my knee problem. However, I did face issues with the room's size and the unpleasant smell from the bathroom. Overall, it's a good place, especially for backpackers looking for an affordable stay in a convenient location.
